LARGE COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

 

Job Description:

Develop and maintain client relationships during the management and renewal process of assigned insurance accounts to ensure excellent customer service and account retention

 

Essential Functions:

  • Active control and management of all service aspects of an account to ensure that all necessary coverages have been offered, placed, or renewed in a timely manner in accordance with PIA renewal practices.
  • Direct pro-active communication with clients
  • Direct interaction with Sales Executives on any and all assigned accounts for renewal, rounding or cross-selling
  • Direct interaction with Sales Agents, Marketing Managers and Technical Assistants on the renewal, rounding and cross-selling of accounts
  • Provide direction and oversight to Technical Assistants working on behalf of assigned clients
  • Cross-sell and/or refer, to the appropriate departments, prospects and clients for the sale of additional lines of insurance and rounding of accounts
  • Coordinate change requests and modify policies as appropriate or as requested
  • Manage the underwriting process to include the marketing, rating, preparation of proposals and applications, forms and required documents to ensure the successful sale and/ or renewal of accounts or additional lines of coverage
  • Record, report and service assigned clients’ claims and losses, or refer clients to Claims department
  • Request and research reports and information relevant to the placing of new and/ or renewal business. Regularly review exception and aged receivable reports, check for accuracy and correct if needed.
  • Follow company procedures regarding the documentation and maintenance of account information in EPIC system
  • Be familiar with and follow Agency E&O guidelines
  • Report any omissions regarding coverage on policies to the Branch Manager
  • Maintain and exercise the highest level of confidentiality regarding the business of internal and external customers and company information
  • Any other duties as assigned

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.)
  • 3 to 5 years of commercial lines insurance experience
  • Active 2-20 Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • EPIC experience a plus

Account Manager - MID-LARGE COMMERCIAL LINES

Position Summary:

Provides technical assistance to the Large Commercial department performing data entry and data management duties including policy/endorsement checking, quoting assistance, requesting and follow up on change requests.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Work with Account Manager(s) or Team Leaders to assist in the issuance, renewal,

change/update, endorsement and/or modification of policies on assigned accounts

  • Perform data entry work not limited to applications, spreadsheets, insurance legal

documents, mailing labels, form letters and other related documents

  • Manage and distribute insurance legal documents including, evidences of insurance,

certificates of insurance and automobile ID cards to clients

  • Manage assigned documentation from paper to electronic form including bar coding and

scanning

  • Provide technical assistance to Producers, New Business Marketing Managers or

Commercial Account Managers as required

  • Maintain company procedures in documentation and maintenance of client information in

EPIC database

  • Assist in the underwriting process including ordering and researching reports and records as

required for placement of new and/or renewal business

  • Generate rates by manual or software/website calculations
  • Verify payments with carriers and document accordingly
  • Assist Producers or Account Managers in preparation for client meetings
  • Prepare policy books or policies for delivery or mailing

 

Skills/Experience:

 

4-40 or 2-20 license required

Familiar with Word & Excel

At least 6 months of experience in Commercial P&C

Condo experience a plus

EPIC experience a plus

SALES EXECUTIVE (Divisions: Employee Benefits, Private Client and Assisted Living Facilities)

 

Job Description:

A sales position with the responsibility of building business relationships for the purpose of generating insurance sales. This position is also expected to provide servicing guidance for the team, addressing issues with any client or prospect, determine the approach and strategy for working with clients and interacting with Account Managers to best support the client.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for developing new clients and retaining existing clients.
  • Develop COI’s (Centers of Influence) who will become referral sources.
  • Advise clients on the insurance policies that best suit their needs.
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients.
  • Deliver approved policies to new clients and explain benefits and risks of the policy.
  • Re-assess the policy needs of existing clients after life-changing events.
  • May fill-out and submit applications, issue quotes, maintain client records and prepare reports.
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices.
  • Research and source potential clients and build long term relationships.
  • Participate in development of strategy for your division to be implemented with Sales Manager and support team.
  • Qualify prospects with criteria including but not limited to relationship potential, locations, market availability, and overall opportunity.
  • Enter prospects into EPIC once qualified following company procedures regarding the documentation and maintenance of account information in the agency’s data management system.
  • Travel to and participate in meetings with clients, seminars, networking events as needed.
  • Represent the company and the client to ensure that clients’ insurance needs are met and the integrity of the company are maintained. Be honest, trustworthy, and maintain a good business reputation.  Act in good faith, ensure legal compliance of insurance laws and regulations 
  • When appropriate refer client to other lines of insurance including Commercial Lines, Small Business, Employee Benefits and Personal Lines.
  • Position will have goals associated your line of business, and new revenue sold.
